Research projects

This multidisciplinary sleep disorder centre participates in several research projects. The projects relate to snoring, sleep related breathing disorders, insomnia, restless legs syndrome and periodic limb movement. Existing data can be used for analysis and polysomnographies can be performed in experimental settings. Research is an essential task. The results of the  projects are published, so that the quality is reviewed to objective, internationally recognised criteria.

The research is ambiguous:

  • Fundamental research, in association with the laboratories of the University of Antwerp and other research centres.
  • Clinical research.
