Antwerp meets Karolinska Stockholm (2nd attempt)

An academic cardiology symposium

za, 13/03/2021 - 08:30 tot 13:30
Elisabeth Center, Darwin Hall - Koningin Astridplein 20-26, 2018 Antwerpen

Dear Colleague,

We cordially invite you to the Antwerp Academic Cardiology Symposium organised by the University Hospital Antwerp (UZA) and the Cardiology departments of all the Antwerp hospitals (ZNA Ziekenhuisnetwerk Antwerpen; GZA Gasthuiszusters Antwerpen; and AZ Klina, AZ Monica, AZ St. Dimpna Geel and St.-Jozef Malle of the Universitair Cardiologisch Netwerk Antwerpen UCNA).

This year we will host -again- colleagues from the renowned Karolinska University in Stockholm, Sweden, after we had to cancel last year’s event on the first day of the COVID lockdown. Starting from specific patient cases, we will illustrate how research leads to new ways to tackle daily clinical situations. We guarantee you a great learning experience.

We intend to organise a hybrid meeting, broadcasted from the unique grandeur of the Elisabeth Center at the Zoo of Antwerp. Travel restrictions at that moment will tell us whether a (partial) audience will be allowed. We will communicate that later.

Looking forward to meeting you in Antwerp!

Also on behalf of Prof. dr. Paul Vermeersch (ZNA), dr. Roeland Vercauteren (GZA), dr. Frank Cools (AZ Klina), dr. Peter Surmont (AZ Monica), dr. Jan Vermeulen (AZ St. Dimpna) and the cardiologists of St.-Jozef Malle,

Prof. dr. Hein Heidbuchel

No Open Research Discussion Meeting Friday, March 12th

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, which will likely still limit travel of our international Faculty but also non-essential movements within the country, we have decided to cancel this year’s Open Research Discussion Meeting. During such meeting, researchers (PhD students and their promotors) from all Flemish universities would have the opportunity to pitch their research in short presentations, discussed by the attending Faculty.
